Last week, my friends and I went to a Hot Pot restaurant near Ximen, Taipei. The restaurant doesn't have an English name, but its Chinese name is 聚(Chie). The restaurant is on 2nd floor, it looked kind of dark. There were a lot of people, which makes me think that the restaurant would be good. There was a big menu and you can decide what kind of soup, meat, noodles, desert, drinks you want, which is normal.
I chose Hokkaido Khumbu soup, Khumbu is like seaweed but much thicker. Meat: Beef. Noodles: Khubu Udon. Desert: Red bean ice. Drink: Melon Smoothie.
When everything was served, there was also plum vinegar, which was my favourite because I love eating sour things.
The hot pot looked like this.

The amount of meat served was just right. I thought the khumbu would taste different, but actually the the taste was pretty much same as seaweed. what I loved the most in the soup was the mushroom and green udon noodle, they were really soft and matched with the soup. The sweet n' sour taste of the plum vinegar stops my thirst better than the melon smoothie because it was too sweet.

Lastly, the red bean ice had a tower appearance and was pretty good, but I was too full to finish at that time.
Overall, the meal was good and I had fun eating with my friends.
